Belarusian Potash Company to supply potash fertilisers to Bangladesh
With a target to raise the export to one million tonnes, Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) will supply about 700,000 tonnes of potash fertilisers to Bangladesh this year.
"These are quite large amounts, but they are feasible. We signed a memorandum of intent with an enterprise affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture of Bangladesh, indicating the technology of sales of potash fertilisers," said Valery Ivanov, head of the BPC.
"We have talked over the volumes. The price will be specified on the signing date of the contract. We have also decided on the logistics and discussed the possibility of building up a warehouse in Bangladesh. The move will give an opportunity to organise a short-term storage of potash fertilisers in the country," Valery Ivanov said.
